Play Tutus |
|
Inevitably my little princess wanted a tutu... Polling my girlfriends with older girls, and taking into account that my daughter is "itchyphobic"* I came up with a tutu that is on an elastic waistband. The tulle is a fine illusion tulle, so it's very soft and filmy, and it's tied onto the elastic so there are no cut edges against the childs skin. I then started playing with embellishments like ribbons and flowers. This creates a very unique fantasy tutu wonderful for portraits and play. Each tutu has at least 3 yards of tulle in it for a very full skirt.

| Obviously all my tutus are made in America, and also as much as possible I use 100% nylon illusion tulle that is also made in America and naturally (according to the company AND my own experimentation) fire retardant. I have experimented with putting tutus in the dryer on the absolute lowest setting to dry them after a quick dunking to get spilled milk off, and had no problems. However, each dryer has different heat tolerances, so I can't make any guarantees about how your dryer will treat your tutu. I can say all flowers are attached with hot glue, which is waterproof, so a quick hand wash should be no problem in case of mishap. | |
